SHORT FILM FESTIVALS: RESEARCH

  1. Genre research. Research short film using Simon Quy's article in Media Magazine (February 2005) which you can update by following leads relating to Short Film Festivals (such as The London Short Film Festival, Encounters Short Film and Animation Festival at The Watershed Bristol), television short films (Film 4, BBC, digital shorts from Northern Media.)
  2. Piktochart or Prezi collating your genre research: WHAT ARE SHORT FILMS?

SHORT FILM FESTIVALS

The London Short Film Festival (9th-18th January 2015) offers the opportunity to "see the UK's best short films". Film making is also promoted by their invitation to submit entries. A summer fundraiser, supported by Facebook and Twitter, promotes awareness to ensure the survival of the festival, as the website's blog post states:

"LSFF Artistic Director Philip Ilson chats about the forthcoming fundraiser event and looks at how the Festival has managed to survive over twelve years."
