G324 ADVANCED PRODUCTION
We review the footage, keeping in mind the genre conventions of a trailer: a huge number of cuts to cover the whole narrative arc.
Does the content 'hook' the audience? Does the content offer the audience relevant spectacle (e.g. risk-taking, quest)?
We discuss laying down the soundtrack (copyright free only) early on, then cut to the beat (like a music video).
We plan the inter-titles.
We remember to take screenshots of our work in progress as evidence.
For marking purposes, we keep notes about specific individual responsibilities. Please write the blog post that will appear at the top of your blog, in which you welcome the moderator, state your brief & group members, and give an account of your own contribution to the film trailer.
We keep in mind the marking criteria (below),
