G325 Section A q.1 a) DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY

Describe and evaluate your skills development over the course of your production work from Foundation Portfolio to Advanced Production.

Start with the preliminary exercise. Describe what you learnt to do
FINISH FOR PREP & POST ON ITS OWN PAGE

Move to the Foundation Production. State clearly what the brief was ( a thriller opening or a new music magazine) and what digital technologies you used THROUGHOUT the whole process (digital SLR movie camera; digital stills camera; iMovie, all the effects that you used like sound, transitions, importing stills; PhotoShop to make your film website and film poster design; internet for research and planning; a wide spread of different technologies to present information such as PowerPoint, videos, voiceovers). You used YouTube for feedback. You created your own channel on YouTube. You used FaceBook for feedback. You learned to use layers of sound.
As you go, EVALUATE how you did. Say how difficult it was / how successful you were / what you managed to do / what was challenging / how long it took / what mistakes you made.

Move on to the Advanced Production. Describe what new digital technologies you mastered. State how much more you used digital technologies, for example in your blog where you used Prezi, Slideshare, .................etc. Describe how your school installed the full Adobe suite on the summer holidays and how you then learnt to edit on Adobe Premiere. This time, you used many more sophisticated effects such as for continuity editing such as colour correction, slowmo, stop frame animation, .......You were really pleased with your......
You used Adobe After Effects to create....... You used YouTube for feedback again but this time round, you were more efficient.


TIPS: 
identify ALL digital technologies
describe how you used them with examples from your work
describe what was hard / went wrong with an example
describe your challenges and successes with examples
one or two sentences in conclusion: I must have spent more than 30 hours editing and I think my skills were tested to the limit mastering continuity editing. I am pleased that I have acquired completely new skills in digital technology, such as...
